Overall, the hotel is conveniently located for cruise travelers, which makes it an excellent choice for a short pre- or post-cruise stay. However, there are several areas where the experience could be improved.
The guest room amenities could use attention. The irons provided are of low quality, and the towels could be softer and more comfortable. Housekeeping also requires additional training — when servicing rooms, staff should replace any items that have been removed and ensure that everything is fully restocked. During my stay, the entrance door to my room was not closing properly, and after housekeeping service, it was left unsecured. Fortunately, nothing was missing, but this presented a serious safety concern that I reported to the Front Desk Supervisor upon checkout.
The restaurant for dinner was excellent. The food was served very hot — just how I like it — and tasted wonderful, although the service was somewhat slow. Breakfast, however, was less impressive. The selection was limited, the food quality was average, and the customer service could be improved. On my first morning, I was able to order a vegetable omelette, but the next day I was told only onion omelettes were available and that “every day is different.” This inconsistency was disappointing.
Although my stay was only for one night, I believe the hotel has great potential. With better housekeeping practices, more consistent breakfast service, and some improvements to in-room amenities, it could offer guests
